Veeraswamy Shanmugam (44), was born on September 5, 1969 in Madurantakam, Tamilnadu, India and passed away peacefully on April 25, 2014 in Chennai with his loving family beside him.

Shanmugam joined Qatar Petroleum as a Instrument Technician in Arab-D on February 2, 2001 and left on January 14, 2010. He also worked in Jaleha and FSP as Sr. Instrument Technician. He was a fun loving person; he was always smiling and loved playing cricket. He represented Dukhan Community in 2005 in the Chairman's Cup. He was the founder member of the Anna Stadium.

Shanmugam was the adoring husband to Manjula, loving father of Priya, Bhuvaneswari, Hemalatha and friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
